Los Bronces stemming gravel production

We provided full-service production of stemming gravel for blasting at Minera Los Bronces, including the mobilization, operation, maintenance, and demobilization of our crushing and screening train, working in high-altitude and winter conditions. Through a controlled crushing process, we obtained a cubical product with a uniform gradation, designed to maximize the confinement of the explosive charge. This type of material creates superior interlocking between particles inside the blasthole, which holds the energy of the detonation for longer, improves rock fragmentation, and reduces flyrock and air blast. The result is more efficient and safer blasting, with a steady and reliable supply for Anglo American throughout the contract period.
